The clip inspector

Select a clip on the timeline and the inspector, on the right, shows its settings. Click a section's name to open or close it; the arrow beside it resets the section.

Transform

• Crop — trim the picture's edges, directly on the preview.
• Position, Scale and Rotation. The lock keeps the width and height in proportion.
• Opacity, from 0 to 100%.
• Flip horizontally or vertically.
• Blend mode — how the clip mixes with the tracks beneath it.

Timing

• Start time — where the clip begins on the timeline, in seconds.
• Speed — 0 is normal speed. Positive values speed the clip up, to 100 times; negative values slow it down, to a hundredth.
• Reverse plays the clip backwards. Freeze frame holds the frame under the playhead.
• Trim start and Trim end — which part of the source clip plays.

Audio

• Volume, from 0 to 200%. Mute silences the clip.
• Fade in and Fade out, in seconds.

Keyframes

Most numbers have a small diamond beside them. Click it to set a keyframe at the playhead; move the playhead, change the value, and cutipAI animates between them. The diamond in the inspector's header opens a keyframe lane on the timeline, where you can see and move the keyframes of the selected clip.

Effects you drag onto the clip from the Effects panel appear here too, with their own settings. See Titles, effects and transitions.
