Objects
Props, weapons and vehicles that stay the same from shot to shot.
An object is a thing that appears in your film — a prop, a weapon or a vehicle. Like a character, it gets a sheet, and every shot that tags it with @ draws it from that sheet.
Create an object
Click Objects in the rail on the left of the editor, then +. The new object opens in the inspector.
Give it a Username — one word, for tagging — and a Category: Prop, Weapon or Vehicle. Choose a Style, and write its Description. Tag a character with @ in the description to put them on it.
Under Object sheet, click Generate sheet. Once a sheet exists the button reads Regenerate sheet.
An object sheet: the same camera from six sides.
Make it more accurate
- Import reference images — photographs of the real object. Ticked ones guide the description and the sheet.
- Real-world size — its width, height and depth. Without a size, the object is drawn at whatever scale the model guesses. Suggest size fills it in for you; it is a small paid job.
- Details — particular features to keep. Suggest details proposes some, also a small paid job, or click Add detail to write your own.
- Alternate state — a second state, such as a blade drawn from its sheath. The sheet gains one extra panel showing it. Leave it empty for none.
The object sheet
- Upscale to 4K — a sharper copy of the sheet. Paid.
- Versions — every sheet you have generated, to restore an earlier one.
- Remove sheet — clears it. Free.
Already have a sheet? Tick Import your own object sheet instead. Hover over a sheet and click Edit to open it in the image editor, described on Characters.
A voice
A talking object can speak on the storyboard. On the Voice tab, tick Add a voice and design it.
